Worship
services are JOYFUL and UPBEAT because what God has done for
us is great and worth celebrating. The combination of
MUSIC, PRAYER, HEARING, RESPONSE to God, and challenge are
all designed to help believers leave each service equipped
and strengthened to live out God’s plan for them in their
community.

music:::
Music is
a powerful force, and reaches the heart and emotions of
people in a way nothing else can. Throughout the Bible,
music is mentioned as a powerful force in the soul to bring
peace, to produce reflection, to inspire prayer, to call
upon God, and to celebrate the work of God. It is often
mentioned in the Psalms as powerful, loud, and energetic.
At Church in the Farms, the selection of music is
intentionally chosen to help you celebrate as well as
reflect and focus on the work of the Holy Spirit in your own
life. The music style is contemporary and consistent with
what you’d hear on our local Christian radio station, 88.1
WAY-FM, or on CD’s such as the ‘WOW’ worship series. |

prayer:::
Prayer is the “engine” of our worship. The leadership
and staff at Church in the Farms all understand our
dependence upon prayer. At CitF, you’ll find us hosting 24
hours of prayer celebrations throughout the year, praying
for people during our service, praying throughout the week
with each other, and offering prayer concerns via telephone
and email. We rely on prayer to conform us to God’s
intentions for us, and to call upon God to give us the
opportunity to lead people to Jesus Christ. |

hearing
from God:::
Bible teaching is an important part of our worship time.
It is through God’s Word that we hear Him speak most
clearly. The goal of our Bible teaching time is to explain
the truth of God’s Word to all who are listening. The use
of multimedia, visual cues, stage décor, drama, and humor
all combine to present the timeless yet relevant truth of
God’s Word to believers and those just learning about Jesus,
young and old. We want people to understand, not merely
hear. And anything is fair game. There is nothing in God’s
Word that we’re afraid to teach, explain, or illustrate. |

our
response:::
A
response time at the end of the service allows people to
begin a life of faith in Jesus Christ. People making
that decision for the first time in their lives are prayed
with, given a Bible, and a deeper explanation of God’s
promise of forgiveness and eternal life in Heaven. The
offering time at the end of the service is for Church in the
Farms members and regular attenders to support the missions
and ministry of their Church. Visitors and new attenders
are not expected to participate in the offering. |
